Hi there! Natalee here sharing details on another amazing event! On June 3, 2011, Dr. Diane Lebedeff and I organized a Team Rachel walk on the B&A trail with over 100 attendees supporting Rachel in her battle against leukemia. Rachel joined the event, witnessing the community's love for her. My Girl Scout troop helped with event activities.

The Be the Match Bone Marrow organization set up a donor registration table at the walk. To have them present, we raised $10,000 since each registration costs $100. Over 65 potential donors registered during the event.

We also had tables for Team Rachel raffle tickets, registration, and sales of T-shirts and bracelets, with proceeds supporting Natalee’s Song. These funds financed landscaping at Rachel’s Pavilion in Severn, Maryland, and a Cheese Party for Team Rachel on the oncology floor at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.

At the turnaround point, there was a water station and a Support Card for everyone to sign for Rachel. The day was beautiful, filled with overwhelming support, and the highlight was that Rachel could join us.
