Say cheese! The Photo Booth was busy at the event, so we redirected the line through another door in the Ronald McDonald Activity Center. We also ordered extra cheese pizza, which would have delighted Rachel!

A young girl repeatedly checked back to see if we had selected the Queen of Cheese yet. It was adorable, but we decided to pick the winner at the end since many girls entered. To my surprise, the staff member chose the young girl! I rushed to her room to give her the crown, but she was napping, so I left it with a note. Later, the Children's National Activity Manager informed me that she was thrilled to find it when she woke up and wore the crown through all her doctor's visits that day.

These moments mean so much to the children, who often face unpleasant experiences. Bringing joy to them and their families makes every moment of planning CHEESE days worthwhile.
