Toys R Us shopping day for the Hospital wish list. 

A local golf course knew about Natalee's Song and hosted a table to help organizations that support cancer-related organizations. They offered me a spot on their table for a philanthropic experience. 

I sent in a 'shopping day' for the Children's Hospital wish list, which includes children who spend long stents in the hospital due to specific treatments. These gifts would be recipient-specific. 

This philanthropic experience was a day for the purchaser or anyone who would like to participate in raising the money for the list, go to the store, pick up the requested items, and then head to the hospital to drop off the donations. 

This is how I donated in my early years, and it had the most impact on me.

The money raised for this event came from the auction item purchased. The starting bid was $2,500.00. We raised $3,200.00, which purchased plenty of gifts. The family chose for their entire family to join in the experience. They learned a lot about the extraordinary work the Ronald McDonald Space and the Children's Activity Coordinator do for their patients. It was indeed a full-circle moment for the family.
